Project PortfolioThe examples of our work shown here demonstrate that we have designed equipment for the erection of almost every known type of concrete bridge in many different countries of the world. All these items of equipment were entirely self-contained, requiring no external assistance from cranes or winches.
Precast GirderCalabar/Okpokong River Bridges, NigeriaContractor: Solel Boneh An extremely light, self-launching gantry for the erection of precast girders over spans of 75 feet. It was designed to be rapidly broken down into small units, transported on light trucks over unmade roads and quickly reassembled at the site of the next project.
Contractor: Hensel Phelps Two portal cranes running on 500 ft long box beam tracks placed the inner 5 girders (of 9) in 4 spans of 120 ft directly into position before the whole assembly was launched forward around the curved alignment. The center portion of the deck slab was then poured over the 4 spans and the outer 2 girders on each side erected by cranes running on the completed deck slab. Eastern Corridor Viaduct, Hong Kong Contractor: Costain An extremely versatile, fully automatic, self-launching erection gantry which could accept delivery of precast girders over the completed spans from the rear or from the ground or water at either side. The gantry placed 1,100 girders directly into position in spans of up to 105 ft in a sharply curved alignment which included superelevation up to 11%. More Projects >>>> |
